Leah Thomas owns a hair salon in Brooklyn called Elevate The Salon Experience. Uncover how her innovative methods and dedication to learning have turned the salon into a vibrant center of confidence and self-expression. Ermione Aleah Raymond is a junior at Urban Assembly School for Law and Justice in Brooklyn. She is an active member of her school’s Black Student Union club. Outside of school she attends numerous programs focused on law or activism. When Ermione is not at work, school, or academic programs, she loves catching up with friends, watching crime shows such as Criminal Minds, or sleeping.  


The Summer Youth Podcast Academy is The Bell’s immersive beginner podcasting workshop for New York City public school students. This year’s academy was made possible by support from the Spotify Studios Union.
